Dr Adam Lake (GP)
This site is to provide up to date and clear information about mental health conditions and their treatments. Given the time constraints in primary care, it is a way to get a lot more information over than I would be able to when seeing patients in my current 7 minute, 10 minute or 15 minute appointment slots.I will be adding to this over time. I have a special interest and extended role in mental health and have completed additional training in Primary Care and Community Mental Health and looked in detail at the current evidence about commonly diagnosed conditions and their treatments. I want to ensure that patients are fully informed and in a position to consent with full information to diagnosis and treatments. This information is not affiliated with any practice or NHS body, it is based on my own interest and extensive exploration of the current research, in the context of clinical experience.
